I walk the path now, witch goes to Roger,
I'm on may way there to have a dram.
And in my bag there's a jolly jingle,
as I am walking out in the sun.

My dear old Roger, I'm on my way now,
it's been a long time since last we met.
But now I'm bringin' you a bottle,
so we can party all through the night.

Roger is the nicest friend I ever had,
when I'm with him I can not feel sad.
And if I sometimes feelin' down and out,
he will help me make it through the night.

and in my heart there's a song of joy.
And for some hours I have to walk here,
and I'll be with him when sun i down.

It'll be nice to have a seat and restin' for a while,
